It was a rainy weekend in Tosovice, Czech Republic. After the World Cup in Italy, where I successfully qualified for the World Championships in Canada, I wanted to mainly enjoy a weekend home. I singed up to both races, Saturdays Moravian 4X League (MFL) and Sundays Czech Cup. To that a borrowed Toyota Tundra so I was more than happy...
On Saturday, the track was drying up after a big morning rain and it was getting faster each round. I was the only one with time qualification under 40 seconds and I won. I won every heat in the race as well and took 1st place.
On Sunday, the track was rapidly faster and my qualification was 4 seconds faster than on Saturday. In the result it was 2nd place by 0.5s behind current n.2 in the World Cup Tomas Slavik. Just before the first runs, it started raining heavily. I managed to win my 1/4f as well as my 1/2f. In the final I got 2nd place behind Tomas again, third was Jakub Riha and fourth Premek Tejchman. In the ranking I have jumped to the 2nd place as well behind the leader, czech legend Michal Marosi.
The race was covered by Czech National TV and will have its airtime three times this week. I have an interview there and I will post an internet link as soon as available. Here it is.
