Past two weeks were really stuffed. After the german cups in Pössneck we took off to Scotland for the third stop of World Cup. It was my first time in famous Fort William and it is really worthy. Mountain Bikes are really popular there, check out for example this year preview.
I did a little drifting in my quali and after otherwise nice run a took 23th. My heats the next day wasnt so easy then and eventually I took a 18th place. Check out a freecaster replay, my heats are in time 06:20 and 34:30.
From Scotland straight to London, where we had a day off until our next flight. I have to say, London is not really my cup of tea, but we still enjoyed a sightseeing ride on some rental city bikes.. to bad they didnt have fixies:-)
From London straight to European Championships in Willingen, Germany, where I got qualified with the czech national A team. Great huge event called Sympatex Bike Festival Willingen promised a lots of spectators. The track was awesome, I managed to jump everything as one the first riders. The next day I fell thou unfortunately to apperently have broken my finger. Well I kept on racing two more days. I qualified as 13th after I slid in the 2nd turn a bit. In the race they disqualified me in my 1/4f and I got 14th overall. Ride home, xray, nothing broken but some damage to my joint or what.. we will see.
All the races now, I have been testing a new Rubena tires and they ride just great. Then I have had a prototype model of custom wheels Allcross by Remerx, which are a lil bit heavier than their marathon brother, but much stronger and stiffer... nice! Nothing better than a great czech product!
I attach a link to the complete results, a video and some pictures. Enjoy!
Next race: UCI World Cup 4, Leogang
